The Metamaterials and Nanophotonics group based at the University of Birmingham specialize in nanophotonics, metamaterials, THz and light-matter interactions in general. The University is strongly supporting the expansion of the group.
The group is currently advertising an academic position at Assistant/Associate Professor level (see links below) and there will be more possibilities in the future (including at the full Professor level).

Currently the group has 3 labs (1 for optical/IR characterisation, 1 for THz and microwaves characterisation, and 1 for nanofabrication) and several high performance servers for theoretical and computational work. You can find the full list of the current lab capabilities here: https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/research/activity/physics/quantum/metamaterials/capabilities.aspx
If you might be interested in this opportunity, please do not hesitate to contact the group before applying.
