You are invited to the Quantum Materials and Processes theme Town Hall event, which is part of the community building of RUEDI (Relativistic Ultrafast Electron Diffraction and Imaging (RUEDI) National Facility), a new ultrafast electron diffraction and imaging facility for the UK. This event will be held on Wednesday 9th July at Crewe Hall, Cheshire.
Registration now open via Eventbrite:
The event will be hosted by Dr Will Bryan (Swansea University), the RUEDI Quantum Materials and Processes science theme lead, and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design, development and most importantly the execution of novel imaging experiments.
RUEDI, funded by the EPSRC as part of the UKRI Infrastructure Funds, and in partnership with the University of Liverpool, the Rosalind Franklin Institute, and STFC Daresbury, will be the world’s first facility of its kind.
Keynote speakers Dr Jess Wade (Imperial College London), Dr Marcus Newton (University of Southampton) and Dr Khalid Siddiqui (SLAC) will give perspectives on the current state and future of quantum materials and technologies, their imaging on ultrafast timescales, and will allow participants to explore critical quantum materials challenges. Should you not be able to attend, postgraduate and postdoctoral attendees are very welcome.
This event will be hosted by Will Bryan and Professor Nigel Browning (Director of RUEDI, University of Liverpool), and is organised to run consecutively with the Dynamics of Chemical Change science theme Town Hall, on 10th July also at Crewe Hall.
