The inaugural Materials for Quantum Technology – Horizon Scanning UK Conference for Early Career Researchers will be held at the University of Cambridge on 20-21 November 2023. This event is organised by the ‘Materials Horizon Scanning’ and ‘Early Career Researcher’ interest groups of the ‘Materials for Quantum Network’ (M4QN).
This two-day (midday to midday) conference is an opportunity designed to bring together early career researchers to identify the major materials challenges/opportunities for future quantum technologies. There will be plenty of opportunity for networking and getting to know others in the early career community. The conference will feature a series of invited research presentations from leading early career researchers in academia and industry who work across emerging material platforms for quantum technology, including molecular materials, semiconductors, defects in solids, two-dimensional materials, semiconducting quantum dots and cold atoms.
The event will also feature a panel discussion on careers in quantum and a poster session. Abstract submission is open to postdocs and PhD students for poster presentations.
Register attendance and submit an abstract now by visiting the event website.
