The Materials for Quantum Network (M4QN) will be hosting its first Training & Skills Winter School on the 8 – 11th January 2024 at the Royce Hub Building, The University of Manchester. The event is intended for PhD students and PDRA’s – anyone interested in attending can register their interest here.

- Applicants will be chosen to ensure geographical balance across the Network and representation in career stage of PhD/PDRA
- All applicants will be contacted on the outcome of their application by email by the end of November
The event is funded by the Network: accommodation is included and some support for travel costs is available, but places are limited.
Although the event is aimed at early-stage PhD students and PDRAs, final year PhD students and experienced PDRAs that have an interest in receiving training, or want to share their skills and knowledge with others can contact the Training and Skills MIG leader Tom Hancocks (tom.hancocks@royce.ac.uk) to discuss their needs and interests.
We are keen to use the event as a way for attendees to quickly make connections with other students in the quantum materials community and for them to get the most out of the Network over the coming years. Hopefully, they will be keen to return to share what they have learned when we come to run our future summer school in 2025!
