Solid State Defects
Materials Interest Groups (MIGs)This group explores the creation, control, characterisation and properties of colour centres and other defects in crystals, with the aim of engineering them for applications including quantum objects and emitters. Topics include the removal and mitigation of deleterious defects; the discovery of new host/impurity systems; and addressing and readout of impurity centres.
