M4QN Summer School 2025

Participants in the M4QN Summer School

The Materials for Quantum Network recently held a Summer School at the Royce Hub Building in Manchester. Led by the Training and Skills Interest group, the four-day residential event brought together 52 UK-based PhD researchers working on materials and quantum technologies.

The school provided an opportunity for those attending to network and, gave them both technical insights and practical knowledge in topics including quantum devices, optoelectronics, spin systems, and materials science. The programme also explored wider themes including quantum policy, reproducibility in research, and pathways into careers across academia and industry.
